I take a very positive assessment of last season. I achieved the goals we set at the beginning of the season which is very satisfying. I finished in 5th place in the discipline ranking in slalom which shows a nice regularity throughout the season. Moreover, in each race I gave my best so I end the season without any regrets.

It was a dream for me to stand on a World Cup podium and having the chance to do it twice during the season was a huge satisfaction. The fact that I had already been circling for some time increased the pleasure I felt. Indeed, because of the questions from the media and personal doubts, it was not always easy to digest the 4th places like the one in Madonna Di Campiglio where I finished 4th at 7 small hundredths of the winner. Therefore, my first podium in Kitzbühel was both a great relief and a reward for all the work I have done over the last few years.
The medal in the Team Event remains a great memory of these Games. Indeed, skiing is an individual sport and therefore team events present a different challenge in terms of emotions to manage. Indeed, at the beginning it was special to know that my performance could influence the result of the whole team. Usually, if I fail, I know that I am the only one to feel the consequences. So the pressure in the gate was different than in other races. The emotions after the victory were also different. Indeed, it was a great pleasure to be able to share this with the whole team and the staff. In a normal race there would have been disappointments within the team, which leads to a contained joy in case of a good result out of respect for his teammate. This was not the case at all after the Team Event and the joy was shared by all.
My career has followed a relatively steady progression curve. So far I’ve been lucky enough to be spared from injuries. This has undoubtedly played an important role in my development. Each year I have taken a step forward without ever having a big breakthrough. I’ve been working with the same coach on the skis for five years now and the people around me have changed very little. I am convinced that the good results obtained last winter and the constant progression for several seasons are the result of a long-term work with a concern for continuity.
Perseverance, integrity, striving for excellence and intelligence are the values I aspire to.
