Sortie nature à la fondation des abeilles

On Saturday 15 June, 11 families gathered at the Fondation Arche des Abeilles for a field day organised by Le Comptoir Immobilier and our CI Sustainability department. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the need to preserve domestic and wild bees.

In the idyllic setting of the apiary, participants discovered the fascinating world of bees and became beekeepers for a day. Supervised by a professional, they learned how to handle the hives and understand the importance of bees to the ecosystem.

Since 2012, almost 50% of bee colonies in Switzerland have disappeared. To counter this trend, the Fondation Arche des Abeilles has planted more than 50,000 m² of melliferous and nourishing flowers and looks after more than 700 hives. The three beehives that we sponsor are proof of our commitment to the environment.

The day ended with a convivial picnic.
