Our Housing Cooperatives
A housing cooperative is a non-profit organization that provides its members with quality homes at affordable rents. Positioned between traditional renting and homeownership, a cooperative allows residents to become members by purchasing cooperative shares while remaining tenants of their home. Members are encouraged to take part in the cooperative’s life and decision-making process, based on a simple principle: one member, one vote.
Comptoir Immobilier works with several housing cooperatives across French-speaking Switzerland, helping applicants discover available projects, understand the admission criteria, and complete the application process. Each cooperative has its own eligibility requirements, registration procedures, and, where applicable, specific conditions regarding cooperative shares or household composition.
