Located in development zone 3, the project consisted in the construction of a complex of 4-storey buildings on ground floor level, complying with the Minergie ECO label after demolition of the former Similor factories and treatment of polluted soil.
Named “Faubourg 1227”, the building group contains mainly owner-occupied apartments. SCHS Tunnel built and operates the project’s share of public housing, i.e. 23 LUP-HM apartments with typologies ranging from 2 to 7 rooms.
The cooperative building is located at Rue du Tunnel 22, a stone’s throw from the Théâtre de Carouge and Rue Ancienne in Vieux-Carouge, putting all amenities within easy walking distance.
